General Info: PDFpen is a useful utility for editing PDF files, creating PDF files and collaborating with PDF files. The idea of editing PDF files was alien to me vefore using this software, but now I can easily add pictures, text and notes to any PDF I wish.
The note feature is very good in PDFPen, I tested it out buy adding notes to a PDF, then saving it, then opening it in Preview to test them out. The ease of this was amazing, it took literally a few clicks from my ideas to being transferred to a note on the PDF. You can also edit notes and edit text in PDFProPen which is good for amending documents that have been sent in PDF form. To give you an idea of the editing interface, its rather like pages, except the interface isn’t quite as polished. This doesn’t detract from its usability though, and of course, it’s the functions that matter the most in this app, and the functions work very well indeed.
I’m sure anyone who has to deal with PDF’s on a regular basis would find PDFPen a really useful tool, likewise those who just need to easily edit occasional PDF’s.
PDFpen is also available as PDFpenPro and includes the ability to create fillable PDF forms, which is a great tool for many professionals.
