Could the rumors of iPhone 3G in may be imminent?

Apple is asking for 30 per cent of subscriber revenue and can’t provide enough iPhones for a Christmas 2007 launch in Spain, according to Spanish technology company SevenClick, which reports that it got the information from a senior manager at Telefonica. It also claims the May 2008 launch will see a 3G version of Apple’s super-slate.

The company’s technology blog explains that Telefonica Spain would have liked to launch the iPhone this year, along with the UK, Germany and France, but Apple couldn’t supply enough handsets. Telefonica would also like to negotiate down the 30 per cent revenue cut before signing up.

It comes as no surprise that Apple is working on a 3G version of its handset, and May 2008 sounds like a reasonable time frame for such a device to be launched … The Register.

I’ll be honest, I used the advert on the right there. But it’s personal for me at the moment. (Trying to) Recover from adhesions, I’m also faced with Insomnia. Good for 24/7 blogging, not good for the brain. Because you didn’t know that already. Okay here’s a quick roundup of what pzizz actually is..

pzizz is a software application for Mac and PC that creates audio
soundtracks that help you to nap during the day or get to sleep at
night. The wonderful thing is that you can tailor them to suit you and
they’re different every time!

I’m going to give it a rough test now (it lasts 20-60 minutes) and I’ll report back to see if I feel energized or have indeed, slept.

Well, it hasn’t worked for me. I tried both Energizer and Sleep. I did fall asleep at the end of sleep, but my next song woke me up (Radio Ga Ga..). If it doesn’t get you to sleep, it certainly makes you feel relaxed. I don’t know if I’m going to have time to re-use this, so perhaps put it on for our next competition? Who knows.

Rating: 7/10
Verdict: Didn’t get me to sleep nor refresh me, but it certainly relaxed me which was well worth it.

How many times have you copied one thing, to accidentally replace it with something else?
Confusing I know - welcome to CopyPaste Pro. Subnamed “Time Machine for the Clipboard” it does exactly what it says on the tin.

A “Apple + C” will place your chosen copies into a clipboard. In this, you can scroll left to right to view all your clippings. You can also edit the text as CPP features a built in word processor.

This software is good for the price. The application fits into Leopard well and the menu arrangements suit brilliantly. Albeit, the softwares’ internal organs aren’t so great. A copy can hold for a second, (unable to copy, paste) which isn’t a lot but noticeable by some people (like, me..) and can get slightly annoying. There is also a floating icon which doesn’t look at all appealing ( it’s to access your clippings ) and is hard to remove.
Other than that, give CopyPaste Pro a go, it does do what it says, even if it takes a while to get there.

This Universal program is compatible with 10.4 (Tiger) and now 10.5 (Leopard).
It costs $20.00 from the ScriptSoftware store but as always a limited demo is provided.

Fed up of loosing your copies? Give CopyPaste Pro a try.

Now, I’ve only just started using Twitter (@evanlugh) (not many use it in England, so I don’t want to look like a loner) and already I think I’ve found an application I love: Twitterrific.
Created by the IconFactory, Twitterrific is a lightweight application which allows you to read, publish and sync with twitter.
The interface is a smart, clean HUD bezel style and even brings professionalism to your desktop.

Twitterrific supports multiple Twitter accounts, a smart dock icon (shows you how many unread notifications or tweets you have) and much much more.
To see a full feature list visit the Twitterrific homepage.

More after the break.

Twitterrific is free but with limitations. For free you get the whole package plus the occasional advert. Alternatly you can splash out $14.95 which removes the advertising and helps support for future improvements.

There are many free alternatives to Twitteriffic such as:

twhirl - uses the Adobe Air API & can run on both Windows and Mac.
twitterfox - twitter+FireFox = What a Tweet! (sorry..)

In the meantime check out Twitterrific and see what it can do for you!

Hello!

I’m Evan, I’m English and I’m the new writer on iAppblog.com.

I’m not very fond, nor good at writing introductory posts so I’m going to keep it short and sweet (plus, I won’t ramble on so I can save face).
I’ve been an Apple fan for about 4 years now. My first Apple computer was a 12″ Powerbook G4. I then went on to buy the sleek white iMac G5 20″ 2.1GHz. This year I upgraded my iMac to the super-sexy 24″ Alu iMac and bought a Mac Mini 2.0GHz for small work.

I also own an iPod Nano 2G, iPod Mini, iPod Video (60GB), iPod Touch 16GB and an iPhone 8GB.

I’m starting to get shy already so I’m going to stop now before I start to blush.
So thanks and expect to see plenty of posts from me
